What are the Vet School Requirements?

QUESTION:

What are the vet school requirements?

ANSWER:

Vet school has very similar requirements to medical school. One major difference is that you do not have to take the MCAT. The GRE test is acceptable. In regards to the coursework, your major doesn't matter as much as how you perform in the prerequisite courses. These courses typically include two semesters of biology with labs, two semesters of physics with labs, and four semesters of chemistry with labs (inorganic and organic). Schools will vary on additional courses. For example, one school may want at least one math course, while another will specify that the math course must be calculus. Some schools also specify the type courses they want outside of the sciences, like English or writing.
