Getting into medical, dental, or veterinary school is already difficult. These future doctors will face numerous challenges in the years ahead. Not having the tools they need to succeed shouldn't be one of them. For many students of color or "first doc in the family," something as simple as school supplies can be financially restrictive or inaccessible. These students should be focused on studying and not worrying about being at a disadvantage if they don't own a stethoscope.
The goal of this drive is to collect school supplies for recently accepted applicants. The supplies will be packaged with words of encouragement, starting with "Congrats!" to let them know there's a community of people whom they may never meet that's rooting for them.
